FISHCULVERT is a manufactured stream bed that facilitates the passage of minnows and fish through steep culverts and over obstacles such as small dams and perched outlets by slowing flow velocity and maintaining a series of deep watertight resting pools.

Watertight baffles are shaped and placed to mimic natural boulders along the stream bed providing velocity shadows. Computer modeling provides assurance that critical depths and velocities are met as the stream maintains its sinuosity. Deep corrugations help to hold substrate and enhance the survival of small fish and instream organisms.

FISHCULVERT is available as a stand-alone flume, an invert liner for over steep and deteriorated culverts or as bolt in baffles for new or existing culvert pipe. Components are made of CANADIAN steel that is polymer coated after fabrication. All components conform to CSA G401-14 to assure high quality standards and long service life.
